SUMMARY:Sex Trafficking - Rarely a Happy Ending

less to do with consenting adults and more to do with drugs\, gangs\, robb

ften where these crimes originate\, but the casino provides an abundance o
f new victims\, cash\, and a place to make deals of all sorts. This affect

SUMMARY:Loss Prevention: The Importance of Understanding the Fraud Triangle
DESCRIPTION:In loss prevention\, the importance of understanding and being
able to apply the fraud triangle is of the utmost importance for the prev
ention\, detection\, and investigation of internal theft and fraud. The f
raud triangle states that individuals are motivated to commit crime when
 three elements come: (1) perceived pressure\, (2) perceived opportunity\,
and (3) some way to rationalize the theft or fraud as not being inconsiste
nt with one's values.\n\nAs surveillance and security professionals we see
the fraud triangle in action every day\, but we often don't recognize tha
t using it to identify the elements prior to an event will aid us in deter
ring the crime from occurring at all or detecting it before it becomes cos
tly.\n\nThis session will address understanding the fraud triangle and u
sing it to protect your property.

SUMMARY:Casino Math: Know Your Numbers
DESCRIPTION:This presentation will cover the basics of Casino Math and how
it relates to Surveillance\ninvestigations. We will cover terms like house
edge\, theoretical win\, hold percentage\, etc. and\nwhy it is important
for investigators to know these terms and how they are calculated.\nInvest
igators should be aware of these formulas so that they can effectively aud
it table games\,\nslots\, and player development. Table games and slots pe
rformance as well as individual players’\nworth are determined exclusive
ly by the numbers in these ratings – Surveillance must be able to\ncalcu
late and reverse engineer these numbers to verify the validity of ratings.
These numbers\ninfluence decisions up to the executive level and must be
accurate. None other than the\nSurveillance department can verify beyond d
oubt that what is being documented is correct. The\nnumbers can even prove
